Your treadmill comes with a built-in lube reset tracker that will show up on the console as LUBE when triggered. If your treadmill display shows LUBE, please check to ensure that there is adequate lubrication present.
Each treadmill may follow a different procedure to reset the lube error. Follow the instructions located within your owner's manual, or outlined below, for your specific model.
How to Reset the Lube Error
Method Applies to the Following Treadmill Models: TR150, TRX2500, TRX3500, TRX4500
- Check the belt/deck for lubricant by lifting one edge of the belt and feeling the surface of the deck.
- Follow the steps to lubricate the belt/deck. Need assistance? See our article: “How to Lubricate Your Treadmill.”
- After lubricating, hold the ENTER button for three (3) seconds to reset and clear the LUBE error from your display.
- If the ‘LUBE’ error persists after lubricating and resetting your machine, please submit a ticket here.
Method Applies to the Following Treadmill Models: TRX5500
- Check the belt/deck for lubricant by lifting one edge of the belt and feeling the surface of the deck.
- Follow the steps to lubricate the belt/deck. Need assistance? See our article: “How to Lubricate Your Treadmill.”
- After lubricating, press "Ignore." This will clear the message from the console screen.
- If the ‘LUBE’ error persists after lubricating and pressing "Ignore," please submit a ticket here.
Method Applies to the Following Treadmill Models: TR200, TR260, TRX1000
- Check the belt/deck for lubricant by lifting one edge of the belt and feeling the surface of the deck.
- Follow the steps to lubricate the belt/deck. Need assistance? See our article: “How to Lubricate Your Treadmill.”
- After lubricating, hold the PROGRAM button for three (3) seconds to reset and clear the LUBE error from your display.
- If the ‘LUBE’ error persists after lubricating and resetting your machine, please submit a ticket here.
Method Applies to the Following Treadmill Models: TR6.6, TR6.4, TR300
- To enter the Engineering Mode Menu press and hold down the START, STOP and ENTER keys, then at the same time insert the Safety Key.
- Keep holding the keys down until the console displays 'Engineering Mode'. Press the ENTER key to access.
- Press the speed > key (or speed < key to go backwards) until “Functions” appears; press ENTER to select.
- Press the speed > key until “Reset Lube” message appears; press ENTER.
- Press STOP to exit Engineering mode and resume use of your treadmill. If the ‘LUBE’ error persists after lubricating and resetting your machine, please submit a ticket here.
If after troubleshooting you are still unable to resolve your machine's error, please contact the XTERRA Service Department and be prepared to provide the following information:
- Your name
- Dealer location
- Date of purchase
- Machine serial number
